Study TOMAS Cyclone Using Seismic Array and Single Station

The continuous data from the YL array and four AU stations during lifetime of cyclone TOMAS in March 2010 were downloaded IRIS. By performing frequency-wave number (F-K) analysis on data, it was found that orientation maximum energy secondary microseisms (0.1~0.5 Hz) consistent with movement when central wind speed reached typhoon level. high could generate as well swell. However, large global earthquake can affect microseismic observations using F-K. have a better microseism observation than array, which might be due to vibrating tilting hydrophone caused by turbulence. F-K produce slowness back azimuth polarization.
